Yep
Had same problem with brushes in F&B eggshell but not with Little green paint company eggshell on the same job!
washed brushes out together but couldn't get the oily feel out of the one used in F&B.
so soaked them in water with a drop of washing liquid for a couple of days
To be honest the F&B eggshell feels and acts like the Mark Wilkinson paint range made by Holmans specialist paints, which is basically a waterborne polyurethane paint.

Holmans is closer to the Sikkens which is also an acrylic/polyurethane hybrid, whereas F&B it is an acrylic/alkyd hybrid. I think that Mark Wilkinson is a funny paint in that you can look at it 60 degrees and you would swear it was brushmark free but run your finger over the crossovers and the brush marks are there....it has a specific lustre that is very forgiving. The F&B generally settle out to a nicer finish.
We are a very humid country...I don't think we realise how humid and more often than not we operate on about 70%+. Since paints dry by the evaporation of solvent....if we have a day that has 90% humidity, how can the solvent (water) evaporate?
I am convinced this a humidity problem.
We sprayed F&B the other day....a REALLY heavy coat and it dried *hard*...and I mean hard...in a room that had hardly any air movement and all I can say was that it was really low humidity. We thinned 10%...

Hi ya Cait. My problem is that the F&B hybrid has been out for a quite a while now and I used it shortly after it came out, during, and recently. And until now never had a problem with it. I can't believe I’ve never used it before in humid situations. In fact I’m quite sensitive to humidity. I have Sicilian blood which means I can handle extreme temperature but give me humidity I'm a little girl complaining I can't breathe!

F&B say they haven't tinkered with the formula but I honestly can't think what else they could have done unless it was a bad batch? Different raw material suppliers? who knows??? I haven't tried it since. That's not because I’ve avoided it just haven't had the need to spec it.

lots of paint dries strangely these days, the oil coatings are less durable too, and still keep yellowing!!
